Cards finished: 21/22.

I decided against "no. 22". I threw homemade cookies at the problem instead. So, I did get everything I wanted to get DONE...

I know it's already the 26. I actually slept through most of Christmas Day, after watching "Sukiyaki Western Django" with my dad... Missed a text message from a friend...

It was the nicest sleep I've had in months. And it was the nicest Christmas--the month leading up to the Big Day, included--I've had in about five years.

My condolences to those who have a different opinion/sentiment about their own holiday (a surprising amount of "I HATE THE HOLIDAYS"-titled journals from other dA members leading up to the 25th this year...).

But for me, I think my holiday was good because it was very...simple. We worked within our means, and like everyone else, means are very very limited. We didn't bite off more than we could chew. It was actually calming, which is completely and utterly contradictory to the idea of the Holidays, right? And everyone was actually HAPPY. No massive onslaught of presents and miscellaneous doodads--and the things that I got this year were positively USEFUL. My sister listened to me when I said, "If you're going to buy me something, buy me something I can use--like a case of Red Bull." She bought me two cases.

So, for everyone out there who may read this, I hope your holiday was a good one, and I hope that those that were on the verge of going sour turned out okay. I mean it.
