Translation: My computer is dying.

...And I can't back up anything that I've accomplished since September 2008 because my computer refuses to write data discs. So much for back-ups.

What doesn't help is that I'm a complete idiot when it comes to anything computer-related. I know programs/applications, yes--but making backups of those applications in the event something like this happens is something I don't really know how to do correctly...so I never did back them up. (Smart status: failing, indeed.)

Which means I'm going to have to contact Corel at some point in time in the future to see if I can weasel my way out of purchasing Painter a second time for a new computer, considering that I purchased it as a digital download (no installation disc). But that's only if I can scrounge up $500 extra dollars in change from the floor of my room.

I'm in a slump--trying to pull things together and finish what I can--but just so everyone knows that one day, I may just fall off the face of internet earth. This is actually really hard for me.
