Starbucks very recently came out with this album. And I love it to death.
You probably won't have heard of any of the people on this album. Because they're "little people" in the music industry. You know why? Because the musicians featured on this album are Starbucks partners.
Yes, that's right--out of 800 entries, only fifteen tracks are on this album. Music tracks sang, and performed, by the very people that make your lattes, provide your coffee, and all things Starbucks-related.
I was extremely interested in this when we first got the CDs in my store. Late last night, I decided to go on iTunes to see if it was there on HearMusic. Sure enough, it was. And I bought the entire thing for only $9.99.
The entire thing is extremely good--I naturally have my favorite tracks, but what's so surprising even to myself is that my favorite song is "Hallelujah", by Claire Bradley. And everyone who knows me knows that I don't particularly like female vocalists. But her voice is so...chill.
This means a lot to me. The most I could do was to make a stamp for it. But I am so very, very proud of those featured on this album. Despite being coffee-peddlers...they did it.
So, my lovelies, if you are working that job that you don't like so very much simply because it's a way to pay your bills...I say to you, use this stamp in your journal, or wherever you'd like. Because you can make your dreams come true, if you try hard enough.
You know what? I love Starbucks' record label. Why? Because Sir Paul just signed a record deal with them. OH YEAH. EAT YOUR HEART OUT EMI RECORDS. OR DRINK YOUR LATTE OUT. OR WHATEVER.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
